DOLPHIN SPECIES IN CABO SAN LUCAS
Whale Watch Cabo has encountered 9 species of cetaceans that are part of the Dolphin family on our Cabo San Lucas Whale watching tours, so far! Cabo San Lucas sits on the southern most point of the Baja Peninsula where the Sea of Cortez meets the tropical Pacific Ocean. This puts Cabo San Lucas in the middle of 3 oceanic currents that supports a wonderful marine ecosystem with biodiversity and abundance to support multiple species of Dolphin throughout the year.
It is into this wonderful realm that Whale Watch Cabo ventures with our Guests for once in a lifetime encounters with these amazing animals. Throughout the Cabo San Lucas Whale watching season the Bottlenose Dolphins are the most commonly encountered species of Dolphin, followed by the 2 species of Common Dolphins. There are also other species of marine animals other than Dolphins that may be encountered including; Mobula Rays, Sea Lions, Manta Rays, Sea Turtles, Sharks, Frigates, Brown Footed Boobies, Blue Footed Boobies, Osprey, Cormorants and many, many more!
